Railmark provides a full range of mechanical services for railcars and railcar fleets, both onsite at its network of RAIL SERVICE CENTERS and with mobile service trucks.  Railmark provides customized railcar maintenance and cleaning solutions embedded at customer facilities.  

Railmark’s team is dedicated to the top performance of our customer’s railcar fleet needs and provides a level of detail not found with other providers of railcar services. Railmark provides a full line of railcar mechanical, management, and utilization services including:

  • Mobile Inspections, Repair & Testing Services: Railmark provides certified mobile inspections, repairs, and testing for both freight cars anywhere in North America.
  • Derailment Damage Inspection & Repair Services: Railmark’s qualified teams are dispatched all over the country to inspect derailed railcars, preforming to AAR and owner specifications repairs needed to quickly return the cars back to service. Railmark is responsive and performs the repairs onsite in the shortest time allowed by the customer and parts availability. If the railcars are beyond repair, Railmark can use several different ways to facilitate the removal of the cars from the site.
  • ARR and Owner Specified Repairs: Whether at a Railmark shop, in the field, or embedded at a customer facility, Railmark’s trained staff can perform any repair or test and maintains a large inventory of railcar parts. Railmark provides ongoing training and skills development to its teams so that we can be as responsive as possible to our customers.
  • Shop Repair & Storage Services: Railmark performs shop repairs through its network of RAIL SERVICE CENTERS and offers railcar storage. Railmark is the “HOME SHOP” for private fleet owners.
  • Railcar Prep & Cleaning Services: Railmark offers prep and cleaning of railcars at Railmark RAIL SERVICE CENTERS or onsite and embedded at customer’s facility.
  • Sourcing & Leasing of Railcars: Looking for a railcar for a short-term or long-term lease? Contact Railmark. Our teams are well diversified in all car types and can find the solution you need to increase your rail utilization.
  • Running Repair Agent: Railroads outsource their complete AAR Mechanical Repair needs to Railmark. Railmark will provide the qualified personnel, equipment, and inventory to be your car department. We will inspect 100% of your interchange cars for AAR and FRA defects and will repair the majority of these cars in the field without needing a switch to a bad order track. Railmark’s back-office teams will provide the required specialized invoicing and collection. Railmark will provide discount pricing for the repair of your railroad’s owned cars.   • Railcar Fleet Mechanical & Management Services: Railmark can custom design a fleet mechanical services program for your company that focuses on inspection and repairs to your cars to ensure full utilization. Railmark can also add general fleet management services that includes personalized tracking and tracing services, UMLER records maintenance, marketing, placement and utilization of your railcars, and event reporting. Railmark's knowledgeable and experienced railcar maintenance and management specialists will work to ensure that your railcars meet or exceed your utilization targets.
  • Rail Logistics and Railcar Shipping: Railmark can arrange the movement of your railcar on its own wheels or on a flatcar, handling all the shipping arrangements and coordinating the inspection activities needed for the movement of railroad equipment. Our dedicated customer service personnel will watch each step of the movement to ensure its timely delivery.
In 2012 and 2013 Railmark supplied and mechanically refurbished seven BUDD passenger cars and a power car for Ferromex's (FXE) Health Train, launched successfully in 2014. Today this special train has served over three million rural residents in Mexico, providing access to health care onboard a moving train traveling to and stopping in rural communities all over the country. This special equipped train has state of the art medical and dental equipment and is staffed by volunteer doctors and other medical professionals.In addition to sourcing and supplying the passenger cars, Railmark repaired and qualified them for 110mph service. Railmark provided consultation and improvements to some of the cars which house and feed the medical staff and crew who travel from town to town. Railmark is proud to have played a major role in this very worthwhile project.
